Honor the Summer Solstice and Find Balance June 21, 2018

Happy Summer solstice! Today is the longest day of the year!

In some places this day is seen as midsummer and in others as the beginning of summer. Most cultures recognize this moment in time with a holiday or ritual. The timing of this day depends on when the sun reaches its northernmost point from the equator which this year was early this morning on Thursday, June 21.

Honoring this day with a celebration of some kind, whether small or large, personal or with community, will align you with the natural rhythms of the world.

These cycles exist regardless of culture or tradition and they happen whether we acknowledge them or not.

Aligning our lives with these ever present cycles, allows us to touch a deep place that will in turn align our lives with balance.

I invite you to celebrate the summer solstice today in a way that is meaningful for you.

Many blessings for a joyful summer!
